Influenced by Brooklyn roots, Caribbean culture, and a Miami-based practice my work reflects cultural memory, layered histories and the relationship between past and present.

Inspired by the cultural landscapes and layered histories of Brooklyn, the designs translate imagery from my original paintings into accessible formats that allow audiences to experience the work in everyday life.
Each piece incorporates visual elements drawn from her paintings, organic forms, architectural references, and symbolic motifs representing roots, movement, and community. By adapting these artworks into wearable items, the project transforms static gallery pieces into mobile storytelling that reflects Brooklyn’s creative identity.
These works will be presented during the Black Girl Art Show in Brooklyn, where the tees and totes will function as collectible merchandise and gift-with-purchase items that broaden engagement with the artwork.
The project also explores opportunities to align with the cultural storytelling mission of New York City Tourism + Conventions, highlighting Brooklyn as a destination for contemporary art, community creativity, and Black artistic expression.
